Lee Calton

Lee Calton

Lee started his career in Financial Services sixteen years ago when he joined a large, local insurance company. He then proceeded to work for Lloyds Banking Group and had a successful career there for ten years, working in various roles including Personal Banking Manager, Branch Manager, Financial Consultant and Business Sales Manager.

In 2016, Lee joined Ring Associates as a Mortgage Adviser and has recently made the move to Trainee Independent Financial Adviser. He mainly sees clients who are either existing members of our Workplace Pension Schemes or who are looking to join, ensuring they are fully aware of the pension regulations and most importantly helping them plan for retirement. He is also working towards a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning so is currently spending part of his time in the office shadowing the other advisers.

Lee is married to Claire and they live in the centre of King’s Lynn. He is a huge football fan and, for his sins, supports Arsenal! He also enjoys cricket, running and the occasional game of squash. When not involved with sport, he enjoys socialising with friends, meals out and sampling gin!

Tim Gilbert

Tim Gilbert

Tim joined Lloyds Bank straight from school and became interested in working in pension and investment services, which he started in about 1988. He left the bank early in 1995 to become an Independent Financial Adviser, and a few months later joined Simon Ring with whom he has worked ever since.

Much of Tim’s role is involved with wealth management, looking after pension and investment clients, equity release and long term care planning. He enjoys being able to make a difference to people’s financial planning.

He has three adult children, two dogs, six guitars (five too many, according to his wife!) and some koi carp. He likes to tour Europe with his wife on their motorbike, and to walk the Lake District fells with his son.

Mark Juniper

Mark Juniper

Mark began his career within Financial services back in August 1988, having left school to join National Westminster Bank (as it was known then) as an office junior. He spent the next seven years working his way up the ladder, carrying out various back office / customer facing roles before securing his first managerial position as an Assistant Branch Manager.

His career within NatWest/RBS spanned 29 years, with his last role being a Team Quality and Development Manager. Responsibilities included managing a team of twelve desk-based mortgage advisers, ensuring they remained compliant, managing their day to day training and development, as well as managing their performance to achieve their objectives. Thankfully the opportunity presented itself to take voluntary redundancy and ‘escape the corporate world’.

As Business Development Manager at Ring Associates, Mark’s responsibilities include working closely with the board of directors to improve market position, achieve sustained financial growth through the acquisition of new business, networking, building strong relationships with existing and prospective new clients, as well as focusing on achieving first class customer satisfaction.

In order to further aid his knowledge, Mark is keen to embark on his study of The Chartered Insurance Institute exams, which will assist him in his understanding of the industry.

Mark is married to Julie and has two growing daughters aged nine and twelve. When he is not acting as a referee to all of the arguments, he is a keen racquet sportsman, enjoying playing tennis, squash and badminton. Cycling also features amongst his pastimes as well as meeting up with his pal’s to put the world to rights whilst undertaking a spot of rambling within the countryside.

Simon Ring

Simon Ring

Simon started his career as a Trainee Building Society Manager at the Nationwide in Kings Lynn in 1985, at the age of 19. He was soon promoted to manager in 1987, taking over a branch office in St Albans. He later decided that he wanted to be able to give advice of a more general nature to people and to raise a family in his home town of Kings Lynn, so he sought out wider experience than just lending and got a job working for Standard Life.

In 1989, Simon set up as an Independent Financial Adviser. After being a sole trader for a while and running a successful partnership, he joined other advisers locally to create Fenton Financial Services Ltd. Five years later, Simon left to establish Ring Associates Ltd on the 20th October 2002. The ethos then and now is very much about putting client needs at the heart of all advice and delivering a service which offers real value for money.

Simon tries hard to find the time to study for exams to obtain Chartered status as an adviser. He also packs in a lot of historical reading,  a true passion of his. He’s become a big Bath rugby fan after years of travelling through the city on the way to Cornish holiday breaks. Simon also tries to practise what he preaches in terms of working through a bucket list and has recently completed the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
